Sales objection coach Gem that role-plays a buyer and scores your responses
A Gemini Gem for sales reps: it plays a realistic buyer who raises objections based on your product and deal context, then gives specific feedback on each answer you give, with a short debrief at the end.

What it does
Reps learn objection handling by doing it, but practicing on live prospects is expensive. This Gem runs short, realistic role-plays using your own product facts, then coaches each response.
**What it does**
- Asks for the scenario first: product, buyer role, company size, deal stage, and which objection types to practice (price, timing, competitor, status quo, authority, trust, implementation effort). - Plays the buyer in character. It raises one objection at a time and reacts to what you actually say, including pushing back when an answer is vague. - After each of your replies, steps out of character in a short coaching box: what worked, what to change, and a stronger example line based only on the facts you provided. - Ends with a debrief: scores on four criteria, the one habit to fix, and three practice lines to rehearse.
**Coaching criteria**
1. Did you acknowledge and clarify before answering? 2. Did you ask a question that uncovered the real concern? 3. Was the answer specific to this buyer and backed by a fact you actually have? 4. Did you agree a next step?
**When to use it**
- Before a call with a known tough stakeholder (procurement, CFO, an incumbent vendor's champion) - Onboarding new reps on your top five objections - Rehearsing a price increase conversation with existing customers
**What it will not do**
- It will not invent product capabilities, customer logos, ROI figures or discounts. If your answer needs proof you have not supplied, it tells you to find it rather than making it up. - It will not coach manipulative tactics such as false urgency, fake competing offers or pressure on someone who said no. - It does not know your real prospect. The buyer is a practice persona built from what you describe.
**Example**
You: "Practice price objections, VP Operations at a 200-person logistics firm, late stage." The buyer says your quote is 30 percent above a competitor. You answer with a feature list. Coaching: you skipped clarifying what the comparison includes; ask "Is that comparing the same seat count and support tier?" before defending value.
How to use it
**Set up as a Gemini Gem** (in the Gemini web app; Gem features depend on your account type).
1. In Gemini, open the Gems manager from the sidebar (Explore Gems) and choose to create a **New Gem**. 2. Name it `Objection Coach`. 3. Paste the full contents of `assistants/sales-objection-coach/instructions.md` into the **Instructions** box. 4. In the **Knowledge** section, add files: upload `assistants/sales-objection-coach/product-facts-template.md` after filling it in, plus any approved battlecards or pricing guidance you want the buyer and coach to use. 5. Start a session by typing `start`. The Gem asks for the scenario. Type `pause` to get coaching mid-conversation, and `debrief` to end. 6. Use the preview panel to test it with a real example, then save. Open the Gem from the sidebar whenever you need it.
